Read the following scripture the other night...
Luke 7:11-15 - "Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out - the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, "Don't cry." Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, "Young man, I say to you, get up!" The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother."
Did you notice what the mother did when Jesus arrived? Nothing. She did not run to Jesus and ask him to help her. I wonder if she even knew He was near. She was crying and mourning the loss of her son.
Did you notice what Jesus did? When the Lord saw her... She was crying and mourning the loss of her son. When the Lord saw her... His heart went out to her. When the Lord saw her... He said, "Don't cry."
Jesus saw her... He saw her pain, her heartache and her need. He also met her need. Just imagine the joy on that mother's face as she saw her only son sit up and begin to talk.
The Lord sees each of us too. He knows our pain. He knows our heartache. He knows our need. When we don't know how to pray, He knows all... When we see only the circumstance, He sees all... When we feel hopeless, He is able...
Rest in the knowledge that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
He sees and He knows.
